Racing Santander and Valencia draw 2–2 after Otorbi’s equalizer

Raba scores early; Zabiri answers

Racing Santander took the lead in the second minute through Dani Raba. He controlled De Haas’s aerial ball, carried it into the box and scored after an individual run. Valencia’s reply came in the 32nd minute, when Zabiri scored from Vicente’s pass to bring the teams level.

There were chances at both ends before halftime. Dimitrievski denied Vicente and Almeida, keeping Racing from regaining the lead. In the 44th minute, Javi Guerra shot narrowly wide after receiving a pass from Gayà, leaving the match tied at the break.

Iván Martín puts Racing back ahead

Racing regained the lead early in the second half. Salinas sent in a cross, and Iván Martín volleyed home the clearance. His goal gave Racing a second lead after Valencia had erased Raba’s opener in the first half.

Otorbi levels the match

Valencia brought on Otorbi and Elliott in the 58th minute. Seven minutes later, Guerra assisted Otorbi, whose goal made it 2–2. It was Valencia’s second equalizer of the match, and neither team scored again.

Chances at both ends before the finish

The draw remained unsettled late on. Dimitrievski saved an Andrés chance in the 83rd minute and later stopped Pablo García’s shot in stoppage time. Valencia had an opportunity in the 93rd minute when Otorbi beat his defender and cut the ball back for Hugo Duro, who narrowly missed. Those chances passed without another goal, and Racing Santander and Valencia finished level at 2–2.
