Bologna 1–3 Inter: Carlos Augusto scores decisive go-ahead goal

Pobega opens the scoring

Barella tested Skorupski early with a shot from outside the area, forcing the Bologna goalkeeper into a save. Bologna also drew a stop from Martinez, who tipped Bernardeschi’s set-piece shot behind for a corner.

Bologna took the lead in the 10th minute through Pobega. He finished left-footed after an error by Luis Henrique, putting Bologna ahead with the first of the match’s four goals.

Pobega came close to a second goal late in the first half. Following a deflected Cambiaghi shot, he struck the crossbar, leaving Bologna’s lead at one goal.

Thuram brings Inter level

Inter drew level shortly before halftime when Thuram headed in Barella’s cross. Esposito then had a chance to turn that equalizer into a lead before the break, but Skorupski saved his effort from close range to deny Inter a second first-half goal.

Carlos Augusto puts Inter ahead

The teams went into halftime level at 1–1. Inter introduced Diouf and Carlos Augusto in the second half, and Diouf soon found Zielinski during the move that brought the go-ahead goal.

Zielinski sent a low ball to the far post, where Carlos Augusto finished to put Inter ahead. His finish proved decisive as Inter went on to claim its sixth victory in seven league matches.

Bonny completes the scoring

Skorupski later saved a shot from Bonny, and Sucic hit the post with the goal open on the follow-up. Inter eventually added a third goal through Bonny, who converted Carlos Augusto’s low cross. Having scored the go-ahead goal, Carlos Augusto also supplied the delivery for the finish that then completed Inter’s scoring.
