Raimondo hat-trick lifts Frosinone past Sassuolo 4–2

Calò opens, Berardi answers

Frosinone hosted Sassuolo to open the seventh round. Before kickoff, Raimondo received the Rising Star Of The Month award for August and September.

Sassuolo threatened early when Duje Caleta-Car shot wide after Armand Laurienté crossed following a corner.

Calò then opened the scoring for Frosinone, taking advantage of Bakola’s indecision inside Sassuolo’s penalty area.

Domenico Berardi equalized from close range after a counterattack, with Darryl Bakola providing the assist to bring Sassuolo level following Calò’s opening goal.

Raimondo scores twice

Raimondo restored Frosinone’s lead and scored again before Sassuolo could reply, putting the hosts 3–1 ahead. Significant errors by Muric contributed to both goals.

Sassuolo cut the deficit before halftime, with Esposito supplying Thorstvedt for the visitors’ second goal. That reply left Frosinone one goal ahead at the break after Raimondo had established a two-goal advantage.

Five goals arrived before halftime in a contest that ultimately ended in a 4–2 away defeat for Sassuolo.

Hat-trick and late chances

After halftime, Raimondo finished from close range after Farès Ghedjemis’s header was saved following a corner, adding another goal from inside the penalty area.

The finish completed Raimondo’s hat-trick and restored Frosinone’s two-goal cushion. Raimondo reached seven league goals in seven matches and moved to the top of the scoring standings.

Sassuolo had late headed chances: Cas Odenthal narrowly missed from Cristian Volpato’s corner. Duje Caleta-Car then had a header saved after Domenico Berardi’s headed pass, leaving both opportunities without a goal.

The victory brought Frosinone level with Cagliari in fourth place, with both teams now on 13 points.
