LV beats MIA 27–13 as K. Cousins throws three touchdown passes

LV opens with a touchdown

K. Cousins threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to J. Bech with 1:38 left in the first quarter. LV made the extra point and led MIA 7–0 at the end of the quarter.

Field goals and another LV touchdown shape the half

LV extended its lead with a 47-yard field goal early in the second quarter. MIA answered with a 41-yard field goal, cutting the margin to seven points with 4:12 remaining in the half.

Cousins then threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to A. Jeanty, and LV made the extra point. MIA added a 37-yard field goal with five seconds left, leaving LV ahead 17–6 at halftime. MIA’s two field goals accounted for all of its first-half points.

MIA draws closer before LV scores again

MIA intercepted a Cousins pass early in the third quarter. M. Willis followed with a 14-yard touchdown run, and the extra point brought MIA within 17–13. It was MIA’s only touchdown of the game.

Cousins responded with another 13-yard touchdown pass to Jeanty. LV made the extra point to restore an 11-point lead. Those two catches gave Jeanty both of LV’s touchdowns after the first quarter.

LV intercepted a M. Willis pass on MIA’s next possession and later made a 30-yard field goal. That put LV ahead 27–13 at the end of the third quarter and completed the game’s scoring.

Turnovers close out a scoreless fourth quarter

MIA intercepted another Cousins pass with 11:32 left in the fourth quarter. Neither team scored after that turnover. Cousins finished with three touchdown passes and two interceptions.

Later, M. Willis completed a 24-yard pass to M. Washington, but MIA lost a fumble on the play and LV recovered it. The fourth quarter ended without a score, and LV won 27–13 in regulation.
